EDUCATION

• Law Licentiate Degree – Faculty of Law of Bucharest University, 1975, with “Diploma of Merit”, as valedictorian.

• Doctor (Ph.D.) in Law, 1982. Field of the doctoral thesis: international commercial arbitration.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE     

• Professor  (since 1998), Assistant Professor (1993-1998), Senior Lecturer (1990-1993) and Assistant-Lecturer (1978-1990) in the Faculty of Law of Bucharest University.
• Professor at the Faculty of Law of University ”Nicolae Titulescu” of Bucharest (since 1990). Founding Member of the University.
• Domains of teaching: International Commercial Law and Private International Law (at license level), International Commercial Contracts and International Arbitration (at master level, in Romanian and English).
• Scientific Tutor for Doctoral Degrees (Ph.D.), in the International Commercial Law, Private International Law and International Arbitration (since 2000).
• Member of the Senate of Bucharest University (2004 – 2008).
• Chief of the Department of Private Law in the Faculty of Law of Bucharest University (1998 – 2006).
• Member of the High Commission for Settlement of Contestations regarding the Academic Degrees of the Romanian Ministry of Education (2007 – 2011).
